Lice on frozen rats common?

I'll be doing a run down as far as Bega in a couple of weeks so if anyone wants to order let me know. We go as far as Woolongong about once a month.

Officially 20 kilos but I have done less if it fits in.

Its a matter of having enough to maintain temeraturre during transport as I often dont bring the freezer unit.

Wow that pricing is abit high. i pay $45 and get 5 Small Adults 120g-180g and 20 Velvets 10-20g. I find this very good priced as i pay $9 each Small Adult in the pet shop.

I agree wokka, i just wish i had someone reasonably priced a bit more locally. Ive found one other person but she was charging $5 each for hopper rats which is alot more expensive than thepet shop which work out to aout $3 each. Nice having a captive market i guess, 2 1/2-3 hours rom the closest big coty means there isnt much competition. Id breed them myself but we already have too many critters and i need mice for the smallersnakes too.

Cant you feed your smaller snakes still on rats? All my snakes are bought up on rats as all my snakes are Coastal Carpets or Centralians. I think it would take a few mice to fill a 8ft Coastal haha.

i had a guy come to my house last week, he payed $50 for 2 x 250gram rats from a pet shop on the central coast.. i keep 40-50 breeder rats & 200-300 pinkie to adults for culling & never had a problem with lice.. never used ivomectin.. maybe ive been lucky.. now im paraniod.. lol..

The only time I have encountered them is when I have purchased new rats and they infected my colony, since treating them over a year ago I haven't seen a single one.

Many breeders get them from keeping there rats/feeds in places that wild rats/mice can get to
