Hi all, Im currently in the process of applying for my specialist permit and was wondering if there was anyone around the southern adelaide region who holds one for gecko species? thankyou in advance

note to anyone thinking of upgrading.....ring them first to explain ure situation, very helpfull people at sa fauna unit and am now upgraded cant wait to get some new gex!

yeah, i found them awsome to deal with. i applied for mine at the start of the year, even tho it asks for references ( i dont have any, lol. i dont have any friends into herps) , if you show that you know what your doing, they are understanding. and prompt....had my specialist permit within 5 days of lodging the paperwork

yeah same here maddog, within the week to get mine. Dont no any one with a specialist permit either lol. Still managed to get a couple references though top bloke from up north, sent them a few pics of my setups etc.

gday, a couple of your pilbs are on the list! Just slightly below occelated, coggeri and ringtails now i have upgraded. Mrs aint to impressed with 4 enclosures in the living room as it is so need to build a cabinet to house multiple species instead of spread out everywhere, its the only way im going to get away with it lol. Ive got a nice big shed but gets way to hot in summer.

I have a mate who just got his for a croc in about 5 days, put down a few references but none of us got a call. he is quite in to reptiles and has been for quite a while though.. i find tha fauna people really great to deal with. :)

Sounds like a great list mate. Good luck with the expansion plans.
