Hi guys,

Considering using Kitty's crumble substrate but wasn't planning on using a heat lamp but rather a heat pad/mat - how do you think the mat would go under the kitty's crumble? Would it be sufficient heating or would I be better to include a slate basking tile to help hold the heat better?

Thanks so much!

use the tile, the kitty's crumble dosent hold heat very well, were the tile will hole its heat and warm up alot quicker, also make sure its on a thermostat.
eddie....

you shouldnt be putting the heatpad inside the enclosure anyway incase of malfunction. if its under the enclosure and provides sufficient heat and is thermostatically controlled then critters crumble will work fine.

edit: yea a tile will work

thanks guys - the heat pad wasn't going inside the enclosure, don't worry ;-)
