Hi all!
I have two jungle pythons and absolutely no clue about their history. For the story read my thread in DIY.
Now I've had them for about six months I've learned their habits, and we're all getting along famously. I'm a tad worried about Starbuck, the female. She has taken to just curling up top of her hide box instead of her usual climbing around the enclosure. She eats (has always been a guts) and basks in the early morning. She's a bit round in the last third of her body but isn't constipated. She sheds fine and is due for one soon if she hasn't already. I don't want to disturb her to check, but I think I'd see it because she's so big now. She's never in her hide. She's alert and seems fine, just out of character. She's about 3 years old.
Could she be ovulating/laying? She's had no contact with the male at all so no fertilization. I'm pretty sure they lay in spring (?) but I have little idea about the breeding specifics.
Any advice or things to look out for would be great.
Thanks
