We live in the Blue Mountains and found this little snake in our garage tonight, does anyone know what type it could be?

GOlden Crowned Snake (Cacophis squamulosis)

Mildly venomous but not considered dangerous. Caution is always still the best principle.

Thankyou, It was throwing up a lizard. Can i take it down the road and let it go? Or should i not relocate? I have 3 small kids.

as long as your 3 small kids are not small lizards, they should be safe c: Golden Crowneds are generally very reluctant to bite and considered only mildly venemous. Like with bee or a wasp stings, people can react differently.

releasing the crowned by night would be kind, as they are nocturnal, if you choose to release it where found you would be giving it a good chance to survive, the cover and food has existed for getting to the lovely size you can see now
