My beardie keeps eating flies

hey guys just wondering if this is normal and if it can hurt my little guy. He loves them and will pass up food to run off and hunt one down.

As long as the flies have not been hit with fly spray they are fine. I have been buying fly pupae from a pet shop and letting them hatch in my hatchie Bd tank. They go nuts for them. I was told by an experienced reptile keeper that they are a very nutritious food.

flies are very good food for reptiles and provide some behavior enrichment so dont worry at all.

not to mention the exercise they get chasing them :lol:

i had one get into crickets enclosure once and he literally launched into mid air to grab it and eat it

ive not seen any pupae in our pet shop lately must ask about them getting some more in
