It seems customers expect best service, best range, best knowledge and best price. Unfortunately, the first three wishes cost, so the last cant be achieved. As more and more buyers go direct via the net the critical mass falls so something has to suffer. Eventually all you will be left with is best price and then once there is no competition that will start creeping up!

Wouldn't it cost them more in the long run having employees who don't offer the best service? Bad service= people not shopping there= no profit?
All they need to do is hire the proper applicants. "I love puppies" shouldn't equal to that of a positive reference but unfortunately it usually does.
