Is that like rabbit **** at the front? You said you dont get rabbits so maybe hare? If not then i know some foxes widen rabbit burrows for themselves but i would imagine a fox hole to be a little bigger.
 
Bush rat or mouse, they usually leave at high speed to avoid an ambush and dig that furrow outside the entrance.
 
looks like rabbit droppings around the front and rabbits can get into some small holes

It probably is a bush rat then and I know hares don't burrow thats why I said I only get hares around my place.
