I do believe I have my self in bit of a pickle... I'm only new to this whole reptile keeping business and I have to say, I LOVE IT!
Anyway I thought I would breed my own rodents, but didn't realise how many babies only 2 mice can make.

The question is, how long can I keep them frozen before they go bad?

I only have 1 snake and have ended up with 33 pinkies!

Pinkies tend to be more prone to freezer burn, but I would say anywhere up to 6 months or so - more for bigger items?

if you pack them into snap lock bags once frozen, it will help protect them from freezer burn. But still, that won't effect your snake. They will stay in the freezer for a long time.

Had an interesting conversation with Dr Jim Greenwood, a reptile vet in Melbourne who said long term freezing is not great for any proteins and rodents should not be frozen longer than 10 weeks!!!
