<BEHIND YOU> ...(if your in Melbourne and your
G'Day!

I recently purchased a Balinese cabinet off ebay to turn into a snake vivarium.
$100

(There was a post earlier re heating... but this will be for building updates)

... Started by taking back wooden cage off...

...then filled in all the gaps and cracks...

My partner and I were swaying between keeping the doors as
or taking them off and having a full glass front.

The full glass front won. (was going to put it to a vote on here...)

Today I got to taking the doors off
and taking out the mid shelving
and putting in the base

I plan to order the glass (sliding) early next week
est $140
The glass will sit behind the top panel so the lights (day / red night) cant be seen
one in each corner at the front

and plan to use two radiant heaters (in case one fails)

...

Ill keep updating
ANY suggestions comments or questions would be great!
;)

wow i think he/she is just a tad bit jealous lol

haha (if it did that to the foam etc id hate to see what he/she would do to ur snakes) very cute tho

I have that exact same cabinet sitting in my apartment just full of junk. Been wanting to use it more constructively but never even though of making it into a vivarium! Great idea! Now I just need the larger snake to put in it =P

Looks good, I like it however I would have explored using the void in between the two drawers inside the cupboard as an underground hide.
I look forward to wathching this progress

So we could have twins!
If you need spare doors I have some ;)

I did look into that. If I had left the doors on it would have worked. But as I chose to take them off and have the glass sitting right behind the top (to hide the lights) it had to go. I pondered for a while trust me!
