Thought it was about time I posted a couple of quick snaps I took at the course I did the other week.

Loved it. Was amazing to be that close and up and personal with some deadly little buggers!
Tiger snake and eastern brown were the most nerve racking. Both moved extremely quick for a cold day, and were not afraid to hiss, jump, bite and carry on which made it more enjoyable.

I am waiting for more pictures but these are a few I took (when I remembered I had a camera)!

Good fun and an excellent insight into these creatures!

Oi ya poser that last one's not venemous!!! :D

I'd love to learn how to handle elapids etc. That BHP is great looking snake too.

Haha I recognize those snakes!!!

That eastern brown is psycho be thankful it wasn't a hot day. He has had me on the Hop before when he is in a bad mood but it is good experience for wild specimens.

The Eastern wasn't in these pictures...but yeah he is a monster, very crazy little F'er :)

Loved the Blackhead, he was a big boy!

Great fun and excellent insight. Good to see how each different elapid acts and moves in a safe environment!

Those are some stunning snakes, love the Collett's in the first couple of pics!

Isn't that an EB in the 10th pic?

No Its a Taipan guys!

Well thats what I was informed lol!

This Taipan is a Western??? I forgot But I remember it stuck in my mind as it had an incredible Sunset Orange!

No taipan in those shots.

Pic 10 is a king brown ( mulga) St George locality from memory.

What were your thoughts on the use of the tongs? I know some use them extensively, like Rex from the Reptile Centre in Alice Springs. Increased safety for use on the local Western Browns and juveniles of some species, apparently.

I use a pair of Raptor Tonges when I really have to, They are really safe on the snake compared to anything else on the market. The come in handy when you need to get small elapids out of tiny places, especially if they are to small to tail, imo anyway..

Saw the 10th pic, and thought, what the hell kind of snake is that, then I realised it was in the pipe hah, I thought it was white with a brown head
