Hey guys, I just have a random question that I thought I'd ask...
When a hatchy hatches when do you feed it? Straight after it comes out of the egg or after?

Thanks

Im not a breeder but they generally get there first feed after there first slough, due to absorbed egg yolk.

No worries, im still a newbie myself, a slough is just the more technical term for when they shed there skin.

It can take about 14 days from when they hatch to when they shed, it is most likely that they will not eat before this, so many breeders do not even bother trying.

Okay, thanks! Been itching for the answer for a while, satisfied that I finally got it! :D

some shed and still wont eat ..... some take ages to get to feed ,some die rather than feed .... some young start to feed very easy and some would rather expire than eat ....
