Hey guys,

Just a quick question for you all, I noticed my 3 yr old spotted pythons eyes were milky on wednesday last week (19/9)

I have left him alone since, he has been soaking in his water bowl for the last 2 days. How long (on avg) does a shedding cycle last? I know that it will depend on his temps and humidity. (humidity 45%, temps 36 and 27)

Cheers

Mine normally shed 5-10 days (on average a week) after the milky eye stage, so it won't be much longer before yours sheds

Cheers for the reply Leamos, I checked him this morning and he had shed, all in one piece from what I can see. Can i handle him after shedding or should i leave him for a day or two?

I handle mine. Doesn't make a difference to her.

Thanks for the replies guys, got him out this arvo when I got home to clean out his enclosure, he seemed quite happy to be out exploring. I fed him tonight as well, absolutely smashed the weener rat I gave him :D
