lizard ID please!!

Hi all! I was just in the grampians in Victoria hiking and I came across a stumpy tail which I'm very familiar with but then I turned around and saw this little guy but I don't know what he is! Could it be a mallee military dragon? I'm unsure

Ahuh!! I just was searching through google and found a pic that looked very similar, I only seen them as adults, guess that's why it had me stumped ! Thanks

I agree with Sam. It looks like a juvenile Amphibolurus muricatus. They look a bit different to adults.
That specimen looks like it's one of last seasons young, as it looks relatively small. How big was it?

Was probably between 10 and 15cms I'd say
