How not to freight a gecko!

Even "run of the mill Aymae" arent exactly on every corner, especially if you live somewhere like South Adelaide.

somewhere like south adelaide, yeah tell me about it if it was up to me i would be up north next week. Not goin to happen any time soon. Still i would rather live down south than anywhere else in adelaide thats for sure.

Why do you guys freight relatively common reptiles? With reptiles available locally Australia wide why not buy locally to avoid these possible problems associated with freighting?

95% off my geckos have come from interstate and many simply are not available locally. Have not had any issues until now although it is always in the back of your mind. Amyae may be bred by a few people in adelaide but i cant recall any of late that have been advertised? Most of the geckos i keep are under specialist permit in sa also further reducing availability locally

That's a pretty slack packaging effort. Such a cutie though, and sooo worth it even if it was a drama.
I hope he/she settles in ok.

Hi Renenet, sorry for the late reply(better late than never) the little guy settled very well and was a very nice specimen. Another local south Aussie was looking for a male and I couldn't find a female so he has now moved on. I traded him for a few other geckos that I was chasing. I've since been informed that this Muppet was telling people I took the amyae out of its packaging before taking the photo :shock:. Apparently for cancelling freight 4 times? Just to inform people yes obviously I was annoyed for all the false stories for cancelling freight. For example my dogs sick, no money, my Mrs is sick, blah blah blah. No I did not take the photo after removing any packaging. Lol what a joke if it arrived the way it should have arrived then I would have simply not dealt with him again after the all the story telling mucking around. I'm not the only one either have been told by a few people of similar accounts of owing money etc. Look out for anyone requesting quick payment because there dog/mrs is sick and has exceptionally bad spelling.
