so my female beardie is about to lay, pretty unexpected lol, um well at least i think, she has been pretty fat so i think she has to be pregnant, shes digging a burrow now in the sand heres a few pics- image_1355021279001936.jpg
i dont have an incubator so need to know how long they can survive in the sand in the tank for, also can i use vermiculite as substrate for them?
what temp is best for the eggs to be set at?

also everything i need to know!?!??!?! PLEASE HELP!

I'm no expert but im incubating at 28.5 and i use vermiculite at a 1:1 water weight to vermiculite weight ratio. not sure how long you can leave them in there as they will start to dry out i should imagine.. good luck, egg-citing times ahead.. lol see what i did there :)

remember after she lays, lots of calcium and lots of food... she might lay again in 2-3 weeks and keep her greens up for grazing.

ok thanks for the help man, just rang a breeder and he said to go 50% vermiculite and 50% water cheers :)
