When ever I hold my baby spotted he leaves little pieces of shedded skin on my hands. His eyes aren't milky, he doesn't look dull and he is snappy. Is he coming into a shed? Or what is going on?
This is my first snake so I am probably just worrying over nothing haha
Thanks guys

He is only abit over a month old.
He actually spends alot of time in his water bowl..
Does it matter that it is very dry?

Do you handle it a lot?

This happened to one of my brothers snakes, as it turned out, he was just handling it to much and the oil from his skin was affecting the snakes skin, so when it got close to going into shed, lots of little peaces of shed would rub off.

I handle him a bit.. Maybe 20 minutes a day.. Not all at one time tho..

If it's only just over a month old, then the most you want to be handling it, is 5 minutes max a day, stress has a massive effect on hatchlings.

Is it eating ok?
At a month old I would expect it to have only had between 1-3 feeds.

As I type his message he is swallowing his 5th feed. He took it no worries. This was his first feed with me.
