Do wild Marbled geckos carry disease?

We have heaps and heaps of marbled geckos in a wood pile in the backyard, my dad caught one and gave it to me to look at, not to keep as I know you can't take animals from the wild, so as the title suggests do the wild ones carry disease?
 
Disease that can affect you as a human handling it or transfer to animals in your collection? I would say no to the first and obviously wash your hands before going near your own animals... otherwise I really missed the whole point of this thread.
