Hi guys, so I bought my first snake today, a baby coastal carpet python, I have him enclosed in a click-clack style enclosure, with a heatmat for the warm end. The warm end sits on about 31 degrees celcius and the cool end around 25/26. Is that a good temperature for them? I have read so many different opinions. He ate a fuzzy yesterday so I want too make sure everything is good for him too settle into and get him nice and comfortable. Pics soon, a great little snake, not afraid to taste test your finger though haha.

hello and congratulations on your snake, those temps seem fine

yeah good temp, could even bump it up to around 34 on the hot end and it would be fine.

Here's a pic, hopefully the pic enlarges itself (looks like a thumbnail as I post)... Thank you for your replies, very much appreciated.
Badsville - yeah mate, I have heard give or take a few degrees really doesn't effect them. I have a thermostat too control the temp but it doesn't really sit in the click clack properly, I'll have too drill a hole or something too fit it in. They basically live with these temps forever aye? No need for a night-time drop or anything? Winter?

Thanks again, your helpful replies give me peace of mind
