Hi Everyone,
I got given a Pygmy Beardie today and was just curious as to what his chances are of producing offspring, he is an adult Male.
He has only about 2 centimetres of tail and I know that the males usually use their back legs and tail to mate, so was just curious as to what people think his chances are?
I am happy to keep him as my pet, he just has such a good temperament :)

Also the substrate will not be staying, getting sand tomorrow for him.

I think he should be fine. Try him in breeding season and the worst that will happen is he doesn't mate. Really just a trial and error on this part but I think he should be okay to mate :) Just my opinion though...
 
They appear to use their tails to hold the females tail up to get into the correct position - see attached photo.
It might be a bit more tricky but it looks like he still appears to have enough of a tail to do the job.
