Pseudechis - pseudech(ess) or pseudech(eye)????
Good link. According to that, it would indeed be bredl-eyeIts actually not that straightforward and in some cases quite ambiguous. With regards to 'ii' there are no hard and fast rules, even within a single genus - the pronunciation in these cases is allocated by the author of the species. I find this website helps to some degree to simplify it PRONUNCIATION OF BIOLOGICAL LATIN Including Taxonomic Names
Why would it be the second one? Pseudechis ends in s not i
Funnily enough, and maybe not in herp terms but some words ending in "is" sometimes have a silent "s".
Will try find an example....................................don't hold your breath.....
Illinois......chamois.......chassis. Not herp related i know.

Where names end in a double i “...ii” the pronunciation is “eye”.
Actually, I once read that you pronounce those words as "eye-ee", just like pronouncing "Hawaii".
I've always thought milii was pronounced mil-ee-eye
