Hi guys,

just wanting to know how to make a hatchy lace monitor settle in.

cheers

Leave it alone I say give it a week or 2 without trying to hold it or get it out.

Yep. They need time to adapt to their new surroundings. Reptiles stress so easy. Best to let them deal with one thing at a time.

Leave it alone. Give it some privacy. Dont reach in with your BIG hands to grab it. Let it come out on its own. Give it some hiding spots. Have a feeding dish that you can easily access and try tong feeding. Lots of patience;D

Do not rush handling, if it wont climb up your arm dont force it.

Leave food in a bowl for it and dont start tong feeding until it comes out while you are around and has settled in to you and its new enclosure.

Alot of cover for him, hides, fake plants, big branches.
