Hi I have a diamond hatchling and was just wondering what time of the day is best to feed do you feed at night like 7 or preferably through the day or does it not matter at all lol thanks for any help

I usually feed my spotted during the evening because that's her natural hunting time.

I vary feeding times a bit, sometimes in the morning before I go to work and sometimes later in the afternoon.

I have around 90+ snakes so feeding time usually starts Saturday morning after feeding the rats and mice and continues until finished. Breeding season gives you a bit of a break as the breeders aren't feeding of course. Most of the juveniles are all feeding ok but the hatchies can be a pain in the butt at times when they want to be a bit fussy over their food. there are a lot of nervous rats and mice on feeding day.All in all most of mine will feed any time.Hope this helps.

With my adults I tend to feed of an evening after I have decided that I no longer want to handle any of them. They can take a while to come out of 'food mode' so if I have to clean an enclosure or want some handling time I get that over and done with before feeding, and usually feed before going to bed.

Not as big an issue with my hatchies and juvies....but I still follow the same routine with them.

Yer thanks for all the replies fed him on Sunday night and he smashed it straight away it's crazy how aggressive they get around feeding time compared to normal
