Ive been doing a litlle research lately on freighting. And although aware of not feeding snakes for a while prior to freighting etc...has anybody tried using the throw away heat packs that you can buy that activate with the air to produce heat. They use them in the US by the looks of it. Obviously not in direct contact with your snake. But I'm wandering if they just add that bit of warmth to an otherwise cold and chilly trip.

Your thoughts
 
i would never risk anything like that. snakes freight quite well and are and have been done so for years, proven over hundreds of times.
 
Overheating could be a worse problem than underheating, particularly in Australia where the temperature is seldom under about 15C for any extended period.
 
Yep, fair call. They are probably using them in the states when the weather is quite a bit colder than most places here.
