My son has a Queensland carpet python and it has developed a red rash on its underbelly, can anyone tell me what this is, the cause and treatment, if it is a vet visit where I can take him in adelaide would be good too?

Could be the beginnings of scale rot.Usually comes about from either dirty conditions or cold enclosure floors.

Pics will help. If it is scale rot, keep enclosure clean and dry and treat with betadine.

I'm new to this so don't take my word, but my stimsons pythons belly goes pink after a feed for a few days. I heard it has something to do with the increased blood flow...? It is very consistent though and is not blotchy, red or sore looking.
