rat/mice breeds for food

Hi all
I have now got 4 adult pythons (pair of b&g jungles and Bredli) and they are getting expencive to feed now purchasing from local pet shops...$9 to $12.50 for lge / extra lge rat, so im looking to start breeding my own feed, what i want to know is is their a particular breed of rat to get a decent growth size as the pet shop rats dont seem to be as big as the frozen food ive been purchasing. Also if anyone knows where I can get a supply live breeders from, I live in Wodonga on the border of Vic and NSW. any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jenno - I've done a lot of searching around Albury-Wodonga too and the private breeder I have been using is struggling to get over 150g rats - so unfortunately I am out of luck too!
