Bloody amazing escape. Although people should at least consider what they have on them before tackling the wilderness up north. All I can say is that he is very, very lucky; although the experience would teach him a few things.

Yes indeed, he's very fortunate that someone saw his light and investigated further and extremely lucky to be alive.
Crocs are amazing predators and they really have their m.o down pat. I can imagine one waiting patiently for this bloke who was fast running out of options and would sooner or later have to run the gauntlet.

I do a fair bit of kayak fishing, I will never forget the first time I had a dolphin hanging around me. I was convinced it was a shark until I finally got a good look at it. Got my heart rate up, especially being about 2.5k off sure with no one around.
Being stalked by a croc would be terrifying.
