Most popular would have to be the most sold you'll think.
Antaresia, then carpets I think.

most popular as in kept, or as in liked. kept (well here in wa) id say stimpsons alot of first snake owners I talk to get stimpsons, but australia wide kept and liked i think would be carpets, proberly to do with all the different sub species and veriations you have in the other states. in wa we can only keep south west carpets and a special thanks to the wahs we can now keep north west carpets but only if you have a cat 4

It would be a close call between a coastal carpet and the Antaresia sp. Jungles or womas while being popular threads definitely wouldn't come close to be the most widely kept python species.
