I know I post heaps, but I get heaps of helpful information on here by all of you, and always have happy reps because of it :).

So at my local pet shop there've got a really nice brown wooden coloured melamine reptile tank it's 4ft (120x50x60cm) and I'm really thinking about purchasing it, for maybe another reptile to add to my collection.

I'm never allowed a snake of any kind, due to my mum being extremely freighted by them, and doesn't want one in the house:(.

So what are some cool species of lizards I could get and keep in a tank this size for the rest of its life, from hatchy right through to adulthood?

Thanks

Pygmy Bearded Dragon, Central Netted Dragon, Smaller skinks & Geckos... the list really does go on.
Look at what you like, then look into what space requirements they need to see if the enclosure is big enough.

I've got another question about the Uv and heat lamp fixtures I will need for the tank, but I'm not sure where I would find stuff like that. Would I have to go to a Hardware store like Bunnings or Masters, to find these things?

Yep bunnings or masters or anything like that really

You can get fittings at Masters or Bunnings but also specialised reptile shops. Unless you know an electrician you will need ready to plug in fittings. I would want a heat mat underneath to give a warm area year round but a basking light over head for them during the day. Don't forget they need a good source of UVB.

I would say pygmy beardie. They are cool to watch and you can hold them with no problems. Also if you provide basic care they will thrive :)

Thanks guys, yeah I'm kinda thinking like Central or Pygmy breadie, I find them both pretty cool, do Bunnings sell ready to plug in fittings?

Can someone show me a pic of what battens they use in there tanks, eg Uv and heat lamp fixtures? So I know what to look for.

Also would bunnings sell the uv fluorescent fitting I will need? and what measurement will I need for a 4ft tank?
