Winters coming up fast and I found this little bugger under the pot on my lawn trying to keep warm.
Almost ran him over with the lawn mower.
Just a little garden snake.

wow, that thing is so tiny.. i really like it.. Do people keep them, or are they everywhere? I have a thing for pygmys lol

Aha in Canada there everywhere, they can grow quite large. Where I am the biggest I've seen in my garden was maybe a foot. Out in the boonies, on my dads property I catch em about 3 feet. they are skinny and fast. there known as garden snakes, or garter snakes here. You can keep them as pets, but I've never owned one. Just house them here and there waiting for a warm day to release them.
