Sexing Rough Scale Pythons

Folks,
I'm hoping some-one with personal experience or access to published scientific data can advise what the scale count is for either sex when probing these guys please?

Females will probe to a depth of 3-4 scales and males to a depth of 15-17 scales.

That's what the books might tell you RSPcrazy but there can be much more variation than that.

Females can probe anywhere up to 8-9 subs, males from around 12 and upwards, then you have the ones that probe in between these numbers that could either be deep females or shallow males, these guys mess with ya head so usually go as unknown......
