I used to fly birds of prey in the UK as a hobby of which my old mate has started a falconry display business ..BUT when I told him I pay $1.70 for 1 DOC he near fell over.... They pay 8p which would be about 13c ..... Go figure lol..... I remember 10 yrs ago they cost me 3p each if I brought 1000 .... Ha ha bloody ha grrrr:(

Why pay that much, I have seen them as little as 40 cents each!

Doh :)! Sounded like it was some kind of permit or something... the capitals got me I think! $1.70 is way over what most people pay. I used to get them for $20 per 100 in WA.

I buy them in bulk 50 DOC for $25 so 50c a chicken is cheap.

Speak to chook farmers. Alot will have surplus/recently deceased (normally due to the others crushing them) that they are willing to get rid of.alternatively ask if you could buy some live ones and euth them yourself.

Can anyone put me on to where i can get DOC's bulk in the border area? (albury/wadonga/wagga) or close enough to travel?

We just paid $20 each for DOD's bought 3 !!

But they are still quacking
