Hey all,
this photo came up on my newsfeed on Facebook and i thought I'd share it on here as I didn't realise red bellies ate tigers, or any other venomous snake for that matter!
Is this a common occurrence? Or was this guy just suffering a serious case of the munchies?

Yes it's common, red bellies will eat anything that fits in their mouths.

There are a lot of cannibalistic Australian elapids.

This is the rehab I collected from a relocation where a larger RBB was found consuming a smaller one. "Chewy" died and I suspect from the effects of venom as he was "pre-digesting" (not to mention the smell) only hours after the incident. I've had elapids bite themselves in captivity and heard of others biting cage mates with little or no effect.
