Let me tell you a story....
Back in august 2012 I got a beautiful bells phase lacie ( the guy pictured In my avatar), any who, due to incompetence on no ones part other than my own he escaped in the December...

I searched high and low, left his enclosure open with food and a heat source but alas he was gone. To be honest I cried... The kids cried, the dog licked his nuts... And we moved on.

Fast forward almost 13 months ( you know where this is going...)

The kids walk out on to the decking.... And there is my lacie sunning himself on the edge. Luckily I managed to catch him and get him into a lizard enclosure.

A quick exam shows he's got a small graze on his cheek and looks a little thin - but was otherwise active. I guess he must have found a nice hiding spot to ride-out the Melbourne winter!

So... What do I do now? I've got an appointment Tuesday to take him to see the local reptile vet, I've given him food and water to see if that helps - I gave his cut and eyes a quick clean when I caught him.... Any other suggestions?

I'd say a bit of a quarantine period would be in order. I would if it were me, just in case.

Otherwise, I'd also be hitting the Casino lol

Glad you got him back!

Took him to see Shane at karingal vet and the Lacie is in excellent health, a little small - but he's been eating like a champ so all good - am sooooo happy!

I'd worm him out just to be on the safe side. Lacies are incredible herp hey?:)

Wormout 0.5ml/kg bodyweight. Syringe wormout into prey item
