Do adult beardies retain their patterns?

Most adult beardies that I've seen don't usually have the bright, contrasting patterns exhibited by the babies, and I was wondering if adults ever retain their baby patterns (like the ones below).

yeah, i have 4 1/2 year olds who have kept their patterns very well. they may dull down a little but years of uv will do that to you..
