what do people think about marine carpet in snake tanks?

hey i am going to replace the newspaper in my snake tank with marine carpet from bunnings and was wondering if thatll be ok?

I don't use it personally but others on here do, just make sure you cut two pieces the same so that at cleaning time you swap it over and wash the dirty one and let it dry out properly same as you would if using fake grass.

I have used two of the Bunnings Ideal DIY flat marine carpet in MD's cage for 14 years and they still look just as good as the day they went in,they have just shrunk a little.I also put layers of newspaper underneath it as well.Any other Q about it just ask.

I use it in a few cages, It looks better then paper but has poor absorbancy and does shrink. So I'd put it through the washing machine before cutting it to size.
