hi, i have a around seven foot long jungle carpet python beautiful bright yellow. i just realised he has started a blotch of white growing where his yellow scales should be on the back of his head.
i dont thinks hes het. please help!!!
 
Hi Jerome, some pictures might help as well as some more details in regards to husbandry, how long you have had him, etc.

Is it possible that the white patch is just some dried urates that has become stuck to his noggin?

sorry here is a picture iv had him for about 3 years and has been mixed with a female smaller and younger than him but has not mated
 
Does it look raised/scabby etc? Or are the scales just turning pale?

they are just scales turning pale, hes about 6 or 7. is it common for older snakes to have faded pigmentation?
 
Maybe he's going grey? Lol

Sorry that wasn't helpful. Is it scabby? Or more dry than other spots?
 
no its not, just feels like normal scales. except they are pale.
