jungle python bedding

hi guys, could be getting a new jungle python Hatchie soon. As I am a beginner have a few questions. How much should I feed her, is there any particular way to use as a guide? and if I put news paper down as a bedding in the click clack, can I put straw on top or would this cause health problems?

And it might be best to just keep it on paper towel until you've done a bit more research about the good and bad sides of different substrates and can decide which one is best for you.

First off, congrats.

Generally try feeding once a week.
Jungles tend to be finicky eaters, I had sooooo much trouble with my jungles when I got them, but I just kept trying to feed them, eventually they would take one.

In a click clack, just newspaper is fine.
Try not to over complicate things at first.

As mentioned above, there are good an bad to all substrates, but newspaper/paper towel is fine.
