Google results not working.

I was wondering,

If I had questions I would google them and 9/10 APS would come up in the results with a thread answering it, but now every time I click the links they never work, was there a big clean out of old threads or something.

That's interesting Ben. It could be because the site recently changed its address prefix to https.
I'll check with admin.

Yeah that's the one. Not even the bookmarks I had on old DIY's are working either. I tried using a different browser, turned off ad block, I'm stumped. And when I try to open them the address bar has " https "

And for some reason I can't add images to posts anymore, I use to be able to without any problems and some pictures will open when clicked on them, and some don't, it just hangs, I'm not sure if anyone else is having these problems but I have only just started to.

I tried to separate laptops too.

both running windows 7 pro, all up to date, firewall / AV / ad block all turned off. Like I said, this has only just recently just started happening.

Aussieben, I will PM you but first, please turn on your Firewall and AV. No website should require you to have these turned off to function correctly.

If this works, that will be great, and also show what comes up every time I click a google link or even the old bookmarks that I have for future reference.

While there has been no "cleanup" as such, recent changes to the site have rendered previous links invalid.

Obviously Admin is looking into this, but in the meantime here is a quick and dirty fix.......

We just need to make some slight adjustments to the link.

Here is a link I got from Google, which no longer works: https://aussiepythons.com/forum/general-reptile-discussion-42/olive-python-water-python-157884/

In order to get it to work, we need to replace "general-reptile-discussion-42" with "showthread.php". Then we just switch the numbers at the end, so that the new valid link looks like this:

https://aussiepythons.com/forum/showthread.php/157884-olive-python-water-python/

This isn't an ideal solution, but until the issue is rectified this will at least allow you to access the desired links.

I've submitted new sitemaps to Google to get our site re-indexed. From what I can see, most (if not all) the links in Google now show our new structure.
