Hey guys

Just wondering what methods and products that peeps have been using for making fake vines? Has anyone got a substitute for flevopol/compaktuna available in Australia? Looking to add some vines to my viv.

One bloke made an interesting vine post a year or two ago, he burnt the surface of pvc pipe to make it brown and textured and then heated them up to twist and bend them into the shapes he wanted. They looked really good from memory, ill see if i can dig up the thread for you.

Another easy method was getting either twine or nylon rope (depending on the thickness you want) coating it in silicone & then coating it in soil, crushed bark...

You can even insert wire into the rope so you can bend it to shape.

One other good method is to get garden hose, coat in silicone and roll in dirt/moss/ect. and run a wire up the centre of the hose to bend into desired shape...
