Hi Guys

Not often do you get a perfect shed. My 2 yo Darwin Carpet just shed this skin. I'm hoping somebody may be able to let me know if it is looking male or female. I understand both males and females can both shed prongs similar to this however do not know what determines the sex. Any help would be much appreciated.

cheers

The owner of that slough is definitely a male IMO.
Hemipenal 'plugs' like these are quite distinctive and considerably longer than anything that a female produces.

Was sold to me (as a hatchy) as a female :/ looks like I am in the market for an albino female darwin haha

Yeh I know - always a risk. Ah well always an excuse to get another snake :)
