Can skinks/monitors and other lizards plus pythons get worms?
Are they harmless or fatal and what can be done about this ?
Going to the vet would be the best but has anyone had worms in their pets and how did you know they had worms?
And how can you know your animal has worms?

Faecal testing is the most affordable way to determine if worming is needed. PM me for more details.

Yes they can get worms.

Yes they can be a serious issue.

If the infestation is bad enough you may sometimes be able to see the worm in the poo.

As geckodan mentioned, fecals are the best way to catch it early.

Hookworm, roundworm and pinworm are common in reptiles, generally the host animal and parasite can coexist. but when sick, not eating or defacating, the infestation can become severe and lead to complications or death. I found an ill looking bearded dragon that had a bad worm infestation you could see them inside it's mouth and throat, it was also covered in ticks.

thanks for the tips.
can you buy reptile worming tablets and use to prevent worms just like you do for a cat or dog?
