I have had major login troubles on PC for several months. When I enter my username and password a message comes up with invalid redirect URL. Sometimes it will end up showing me as online in the list of online users but at the top of the page username and password are still required. When this happens I still can't post or access member restricted features. I know of 2 others that have replicated login issues so it is not isolated. Has anyone experiencing these issues found a workaround? My current workaround is pretty weak, I have to wait to gain access to an IPad.

I believe that it may have something to do with the site being "https://" now. I had the same issues and it was because I was using an old bookmark linked to the "http://" version. I fixed it by making a new bookmark.

Switching to HTTPS link made no difference. Even tried upgrading internet explorer with no difference. Not sure why the switch to a https but it appears to have come at cost to APS. I'm open to any other suggestions.

thanks brownhash I deleted my short cut on the desktop and signed in and saved short cut

Its more in the backend where the change has been made and how it is being presented to you apprenticegnome.

Could you try creating a new shortcut like BrownHash suggested and see if that works? I just tried it with both a HTTP and HTTPS shortcut and can replicate your error using the HTTP shortcut.

Tried it numerous times with https shortcut I created previously as had been suggested by someone else. Created another https shortcut yesterday and still giving same problem.

this problem is maybe why there is not many members logged on.
there seems to be a lot of guess but not many members.
somemembers might of forgot their password

I was thinking the same, the lack of logged in members might be related to login issues. The site obviously doesn't agree with my computer setup and I wish I could find what the conflict was so I could address it. I upgraded fro internet explorer 10 to 11, have upgraded norton to current version of norton 360 but neither has made any change. The IPad logs in without problems so I'm thinking maybe a security setting in Explorer or a setting in windows 7 itself.

Hmm OK. Could you please try follow the below (yes its stupid and tedious sorry)?

* Could you please clear all your Cookies and IE Cache and make sure the option to "Preserve Favorite Website Data" is UNTICKED
* Delete all APS shortcuts you might have.
* Restart Computer.
* Open up a New Internet Explorer instance
* Manually type in APS url of www.aussiepythons.com
* Save Bookmark
* Log in and tick the option to always remember login.

Hopefully that helps somehow but if not, please let me know and I'll check IE settings

Yes please, just make sure that the Preserve Favorite website data is left unticked.

Apologies, I left that part out.

Thanks mate. Let me look into settings and such.

Do you only use Internet explorer?

I Only use Internet Explorer. After reading some of the information on how to remove a browser hijacker Internet explorer seems to be the most user friendly whilst Firefox was excessively over complicated with un-necessary repetitive processes.

Your entire problem is probably that you're using IE. It's easily one of the worst browsers ever made.

It's odd that the problem has occurred around the time of changes to site not any changes to browser. Given that https is about security and login pages it may involve changing a setting in Internet Explorer.

I believe I have found the issue and have brought it to the Admins attention. Will be in touch once its checked

Thanks Snipercap for persisting, it's got to be giving you a headache by now.

Tested several times, issue has been resolved. Thanks to Snipercap for the dedication involved in getting to the bottom of this.

Hey
I'm having this same issue on my iPad, just wondering if someone could let me know how to fix it?

Cheers

It works fine on my grandsons Ipad, what IOS version are you running? I haven't done the last update due to the fact there was issues with an earlier update brought out that caused major problems. Might be the cause? Apple should be renamed Crapple.
