Hey guys! My 4 year old Woma appears to be getting too big for jumbo rats and I was just wondering what the next food option for him is? Should I go down a size and feed him 2 or is there another food I can move him on to like rabbits or something?

Cheers,

Drake

I thought anything bigger than around Small Adult Rat size was bad for BHPs and Womas?
Increases the risk of Fatty Liver Disease?

Taken from: http://www.pilbarapythons.com/blackheadedpython.htm

"It is highly advised that keepers do not feed off large fat rodents because blackheads do not tolerate fat very well and many specimens in captivity have died from fatty liver disease from fat accumulation around their heart."

Just something to keep in mind.

I don't like giving any of my snakes 'jumbo rats'. If you can source rabbits for a reasonable price they are a great option for larger feed sizes.

It's all well and fine to say put them on rabbits, but one of my bhps seems to prefer going hungry than eat rabbits.
