Yea, from what i just read u can keep them in glass or wood. Dont see why not
 
You just need to keep an eye on humidity. Too much humidity will kill your enclosure.
You're better of using a glass enclosure IMO
 
yes - but why would you use such a hopeless "building" material in your PTS enclosure when for a few dollars more you build the enclosure from good quality plywood.

Drop an off cut of melamine into a bucket with some water in it and you'll soon why it's such a hopeless building material.

If you buy a sheet (of plywood) from Bunnings and ask at the trade desk they'll even precut it for you for a few dollars more. Then it's just a matter of sealing, and assembling and glueing and screwing and hey presto, a couple of cabinet door tracks and some precut glass or Perspex for doors, a little bit of wiring up and you've got your BTS a nice new home.
