I have a Coastal Carpet Python, i haven't had him for a winter yet, and i heard snakes dont eat throughout winter, is this the case for Coastal Carpet Pythons?
Will he refuse food in winter?

I feed my snakes all through the year... i just keep my temps the same all year round..

All you can do is offer him a food. If he takes then yay if not then ohwell just refreeze and try again next time.

Its fine to refreeze defrosted if it was thawed using tap water. Obviously common sense helps, do not refreeze if it has been left over night and don't refreeze if it has been thawed at room temp for awhile. If you thaw using tap water, and offer the food straight away and don't leave it over night it's fine.

Sorry I guess I should have specified lol.

When I offer my tap thawed food, if it's not taken within the hour I won't refreeze. I guess it just comes down to what you prefer to do.

And I only ever refreeze the same food one time, if its not taken the second time I throw it away.

Cannot understand people taking the chance of refreezing!......Just a numbers game, I wont take. Each to their own.

My MD carpet stops taking food around May, even though I dont change the temperature.
