Hey guys!

I built a massive new enclosure a few months back and now need to heat it. I want to use a ceramic heat lamp and I was wondering what people use to hold the lamp as in the fitting itself.
I cant use plastic batten holder of course. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks

go get your ceramic bulbs... then go to an electrical shop... they will help you out with a screw in fitting that your bulb will fit.. make sure it rated to the wattage of the bulb

Look under "Electrical and Batteries" on the Herp Shop Site - under sponsors on the bottom right of the front page of this website. That is where I bought mine from.

This is what I use....very effective and made of ceramic.

Yep those are the go - must be full high temperature ceramic (NOT PLASTIC - will melt).
most herp shops sell them or the pendulum versions (w/ and w/out dome).

Good idea to put a metal cage around any hot globe (CHEB, MVB or reflector globe) to stop the critters from burning themselves by touching the hot globe.
