Hi Guys,

I was going through a bunch of old pictures and this one popped up!

This was taken in Townsville North QLD about 3 years ago but I'd really like to know what type of lizard I'm looking at?

I'm probably completely wrong but I don't think it's a bearded dragon (lack of beard) but the head shape makes it look like an angle headed dragon of some sort.

Look forward to your responses!

Thanks :)

Most likely a Northern Two Lined Dragon, D.bilineata. Certainly looks like the ones I have in my collection. Some debate at the present time about the status of this species and also the Tommy Roundhead, D.australis which is closely related. There is likely to be several new species come out of these two in the next few years. Both species ranges include the Townsville area. Diporiphora is a complex that has several species where status is uncertain and likely to change in the next few years as more analysis is completed.

Fantastic. Thanks for the info! I'll have to read up a bit more on those guys. :)
