It must be warming up again, found this little fella the other day, For comparison look at the size of the grass blades next to him, he was around the width of a pen!

They're not really found around here, this was in the flinders ranges. Almost certain it didn't have any legs or lumps, didn't want to get too close out of respect for the animal. Pretty sure it's a snake of some sort, I thought eastern brown snake but they're more green as juveniles aren't they? Being in the flinders it could be a number of species, hard to tell but definitely was a snake

Not if your familiar with head scale patterns it doesn't, which is probably what gives Jamie the confidence to say def not a snake.
 
Also the body scales (size, position, overlap) - very different to eastern brown snake.
 
Definately a Delma - a type of legless lizard what location are you.
 
It is definitely a legless Lizard and given the head band and location (Flinders Ranges) I'd say Delma molleri.
