Hi,
So I have just notice my mertens old glass tank has these small inverts that look like mini wood lice. I can't get a photo rigjt now but I have never noticed them before. They are not mites but I really have no idea what they are.
Any suggestions as to what they may be? Photos to come.

Kind regards,
CN

Springtails, often used to feed really small animals, including mantises. Shouldn't cause any harm to reptiles.

Oh wow did not no. Spring tails looked like that! Well I don't know how they got in there but at least its nothing bad.

They can jump about as high as a flea, bit less. Most likely was already in the substrate.

Possibly. Might collect them and start breeding a clean up crew for a smaller animal.
